Automate most of it: pip install bump-pydantic && bump-pydantic my_package.
Symptom
Older models generate Pydantic v1 code; on v2 it raises deprecation warnings or errors: .dict(), .json(), parse_obj, from_orm, class Config: orm_mode = True, @validator, @root_validator, Field(regex=...), __root__ fields. A subtle one: Optional[str] without a default is now required.
Cause
Pydantic V2 rewrote the API (pydantic-core). V1 names are deprecated or removed.
Verify
python -W error::DeprecationWarning -m pytest passes (Pydantic emits PydanticDeprecatedSince20 for V1 names).
