## Symptom
Older models generate Pydantic v1 code; on v2 it raises deprecation warnings or errors: `.dict()`, `.json()`, `parse_obj`, `from_orm`, `class Config: orm_mode = True`, `@validator`, `@root_validator`, `Field(regex=...)`, `__root__` fields. A subtle one: `Optional[str]` without a default is now **required**.

Pydantic V2 rewrote the API (pydantic-core). V1 names are deprecated or removed.
