Fix
  1. Fonts: make the referenced names exist by copying a compatible font under those names into the CAD Fonts folder (installing the real fonts is better if you have them):

  1. Dialogs: a watcher on the same desktop enumerates #32770 windows owned by the CAD process, matches the title, and presses the "ignore for this session" button with a synchronous SendMessage(btn, BM_CLICK, 0, 0).

Symptom

An unattended job opened customer DWGs in ZWCAD on a hidden desktop in order to plot them. Some files hung forever. Screenshots of the hidden desktop showed modal dialogs: first "Missing SHX files" (the drawing referenced GB fonts such as gbenor.shx/gbeitc.shx that were not installed), then a prompt about unresolved reference (xref) files.

What did NOT work

  • FONTALT "gbenor.shx" was rejected, because the alternate font must exist as a file.
  • Opening the drawing via a seed drawing / vla-Open showed the same dialogs.
  • PostMessage(button, BM_CLICK) sent from another process to the dialog on the other desktop had no effect.

Verify

The previously hanging DWG opened and plotted headlessly to a complete multi-page PDF.

Notes

Log every dialog title you see. New drawing sources bring new prompts (proxy objects, version conversion), and each one needs its own rule.
