## Symptom
A background job batch-plotted DWGs to PDF with ZWCAD on a PC someone was using. Every plotted page opened as a new tab in that person's PDF viewer, even though the CAD process ran on a hidden desktop. The viewer's recent-files list was full of the job's temporary page PDFs. The job's own commands were suspected first, but none of them opened files.

## Cause
The stock plotter config `ZWCAD PDF(High Quality Print).pc5` has no `autoopenfile` key under `[Retain]`, and the missing key defaults to ON ("open in PDF viewer when done"). After each plot ZWCAD launched the default PDF handler. Because the viewer is single-instance, it handed the file to the user's already-open window on the real desktop.

## Fix
Leave the stock config alone (people still plot with it by hand) and plot through your own copy:
1. Copy the stock `.pc5` to a new name such as `Headless PDF.pc5`, in each Plotters folder ZWCAD reads (typically `%APPDATA%\ZWSOFT\ZWCAD\2024\<lang>\Plotters`).
2. In the copy, under `[Retain]`, set:
```
autoopenfile=0
```
3. Name that config in your plot script (`-PLOT` or a LISP `(command "-plot" ...)` call).
4. Optional tripwire: poll the CAD process's children and flag any viewer, browser or explorer process it starts.

## Verify
A 2-page test plot produced its PDFs with no viewer process started, and the viewer's history was unchanged.

## Notes
AutoCAD has the same setting: "Open in viewer when done" on PUBLISH and in the DWG To PDF options.
