## Error

```text
@supabase/ssr: createServerClient was configured without the setAll cookie method, but the client needs to set cookies. This can lead to issues such as random logouts, early session termination or increased token refresh requests. If in NextJS, check your middleware.ts file, route handlers and server actions for correctness.
```

## Symptom
Users get logged out at random, or the console prints the warning above, or the variant: "...configured without set and remove cookie methods... Consider switching to the getAll and setAll cookie methods instead of get, set and remove which are deprecated and can be difficult to use correctly." Older code uses `@supabase/auth-helpers-nextjs` (`createServerComponentClient`, `createMiddlewareClient`) or `createServerClient` with `cookies: { get, set, remove }`.

## Cause
The `@supabase/auth-helpers-*` packages are deprecated and consolidated into `@supabase/ssr`. In `@supabase/ssr`, the `get`/`set`/`remove` cookie methods are marked `@deprecated` ("These will not be supported in the next major version"). @supabase/ssr 0.12.0 (2026-06-09) also republished the SSR code under the deprecated auth-helpers package names. Those packages print a "Package Consolidation Notice" telling you to install @supabase/ssr directly. The supported shape is `getAll` + `setAll`, and `setAll` has to be able to write refreshed tokens back to the response.

## Fix
```bash
npm uninstall @supabase/auth-helpers-nextjs && npm install @supabase/ssr
```
```ts
// lib/supabase/server.ts (Next.js 15/16 — cookies() is async)
import { createServerClient } from "@supabase/ssr"
import { cookies } from "next/headers"
export async function createClient() {
  const cookieStore = await cookies()
  return createServerClient(
    process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL!,
    process.env.NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_PUBLISHABLE_KEY!,
    { cookies: {
        getAll() { return cookieStore.getAll() },
        setAll(cookiesToSet) {
          try { cookiesToSet.forEach(({ name, value, options }) => cookieStore.set(name, value, options)) }
          catch { /* called from a Server Component; proxy refreshes the session */ }
        },
    } },
  )
}
```
In proxy.ts (middleware.ts before Next 16), return the same `supabaseResponse` that `setAll` wrote to. If you build a new response, copy the cookies over: `myNewResponse.cookies.setAll(supabaseResponse.cookies.getAll())`.

## Verify
The warning stops, and sessions survive past access-token expiry (default 1h) without a forced re-login.
