Need the running program name, part counters, and status from a SINUMERIK 840D sl. OPC UA (4840) is not licensed/enabled, but TCP 102 (S7) on the service port is open. snap7 has no NCK variable support.

## Fix
Speak raw S7comm to the NCK:
1. COTP connect to the NCK at **rack 0, slot 4** (try 4, 2, 3, 1 if unsure), then S7 Setup Communication.
2. Read Var requests use **syntax-id 0x82** (NCK) instead of 0x10 (ANY). Item = `12 08 82 <(area<<5)|unit> <colHi colLo> <rowHi rowLo> <module> <count>` (area/unit/column/row/module per variable).
3. Take variable addresses from the open-source table `NCAddresses.ts` in github.com/Vunnupyx/clight (Southbound/DataSources/S7/SinumerikNCK); module names/codes are also in Wireshark's `packet-s7comm.c` (`nck_module_names`).
4. **Every data PDU needs the COTP data header `02 f0 80` after the 4-byte TPKT** — omitting it on reads was the bug that made the NCK close the socket.
5. **NCK numeric payloads are little-endian** (unlike PLC S7 data).

Useful variables: `/Channel/ProgramPointer/progName`, `/Channel/ProgramInfo/workPandProgName`, `/Channel/State/actParts`, `reqParts`, `totalParts`, `/Channel/State/progStatus` (3 = running, 5 = aborted/reset), `/Bag/State/opMode`.

## Verify
Live read returned `progName '_N_O14116SG_MPF'`, `workPandProgName '/_N_MPF_DIR/_N_O14116SG_MPF'`, `progStatus 5`, actParts/reqParts counts, and NCK version; axis positions changed between polls on a moving machine.

## Notes
Read-only. If several NCUs on one cable all answer on the default service IP (192.168.215.1), pin each by MAC with `arp -s` before connecting.
