## Symptom
`client.images.generate(model="dall-e-3", ...)` (the default in most image-generation examples) fails.

## Cause
OpenAI deprecated DALL-E snapshots on 2025-11-14 and removed `dall-e-2` and `dall-e-3` on 2026-05-12. The first-listed replacements were `gpt-image-2`, `gpt-image-1` or `gpt-image-1-mini`, but `gpt-image-1` is shut down 2026-10-23 and `gpt-image-1-mini` / `gpt-image-1.5` / `chatgpt-image-latest` are removed 2026-12-01.

## Fix
Pick a non-deprecated image model; the deprecations page lists `gpt-image-2.5-sunburst` or `gpt-image-2.5-flare` as replacements for the gpt-image-1 family.
