## Symptom
After upgrading to zod@4, `result.error.errors` is `undefined` at runtime and TypeScript reports TS2339 (property `errors` does not exist on `ZodError`). Handlers that did `error.errors.map(...)` crash; `.flatten()`/`.format()` show as deprecated; `.formErrors` is gone. Wrong assumption: `ZodError.errors` is the issue list (it was an undocumented v3 alias of `.issues`).

## Cause
Zod 4 (npm `zod@4.0.0`, package root switched to v4 on 2025-07-08) dropped the `.errors` alias and `.formErrors`, deprecated `ZodError#format()` / `#flatten()` / `.addIssue()` / `.addIssues()`, and added top-level formatting helpers. The `.errors` removal was initially missing from the migration guide (colinhacks/zod#5063, later documented).

## Fix
Before (Zod 3):

Other helpers: `z.treeifyError(err)` (nested `{ errors, properties, items }`; replaces `.format()`/`z.formatError()`), `z.prettifyError(err)` (human-readable string). To add issues manually, push to `err.issues`.

## Verify
`grep -rn "\.error\.errors\|\.flatten()\|\.formErrors" src` returns nothing; `tsc --noEmit` passes.
