## Symptom
After upgrading to zod@4, `z.string({ required_error: '...', invalid_type_error: '...' })` and `z.object({...}, { errorMap: ... })` produce type errors and the custom messages are no longer used; `{ message: '...' }` shows as deprecated. Wrong assumption: Zod 3 error-customization params still apply.

## Cause
Zod 4 (zod@4.0.0 at the package root, 2025-07-08) unified error customization under a single `error` param. `message` is still supported but deprecated; `invalid_type_error` and `required_error` are dropped; `errorMap` is renamed to `error` (an error function may return a string, or `undefined` to defer to the next map). Precedence also changed: a schema-level error now wins over one passed to `.parse()`.

## Fix
```ts
// before (Zod 3)
z.string().min(5, { message: 'Too short.' })
z.string({ required_error: 'This field is required', invalid_type_error: 'Not a string' })
z.string({ errorMap: (issue, ctx) => ({ message: 'Bad' }) })
// after (Zod 4)
z.string().min(5, { error: 'Too short.' })   // or .min(5, 'Too short.')
z.string({
  error: (issue) => issue.input === undefined ? 'This field is required' : 'Not a string',
})
z.string({ error: (issue) => 'Bad' })
```
Global customization: `z.config({ customError: (issue) => ... })` is the Zod 4 way to set a global error map (Zod 3 used `z.setErrorMap`).

## Verify
`safeParse(undefined)` and `safeParse(123)` return the respective custom messages in `error.issues[0].message`.
