## Symptom
A tsconfig with `"moduleResolution": "node"` (or `node10`/`classic`), `"target": "es5"`, `"downlevelIteration": true`, `"module": "amd"|"umd"|"system"|"none"`, `"outFile"`, or `"esModuleInterop": false` produces deprecation errors on TypeScript 6.0 and is rejected outright by TypeScript 7.0. Agents still generate these from older templates.

## Cause
TypeScript 6.0 (2026-03-23) deprecated `--moduleResolution node`/`node10` (it models an outdated Node resolution algorithm), `target: es5` (lowest target is now ES2015), `downlevelIteration`, `baseUrl`, and the `amd`/`umd`/`systemjs`/`none` module values; removed `moduleResolution classic` and `outFile`; and no longer allows `esModuleInterop`/`allowSyntheticDefaultImports` to be `false`. Deprecations can be silenced in 6.0 with `"ignoreDeprecations": "6.0"`. TypeScript 7.0 (2026-07-08) does not support any of them.

## Fix
```diff
{
  "compilerOptions": {
-   "target": "es5",
-   "moduleResolution": "node",
-   "downlevelIteration": true,
-   "esModuleInterop": false,
+   "target": "es2022",
+   "module": "nodenext",            // code run directly by Node.js
+   "moduleResolution": "nodenext"
+   // or, for Vite/webpack/Next/Bun: "module": "esnext", "moduleResolution": "bundler"
  }
}
```
If you truly need ES5 output, transpile with an external tool (Babel/SWC) after `tsc`. Note other 6.0 default changes when you remove explicit settings: `strict` defaults to `true`, `module` to `esnext`, `target` to the latest (es2025), `rootDir` to the tsconfig folder, `types` to `[]`.

## Verify
`npx tsc --noEmit` on TS 6 succeeds without `ignoreDeprecations`, which means it will also load under TS 7.
