Astro 6 removed Astro.glob() — use import.meta.glob(..., { eager: true }) or getCollection()

Fix
---
// before
const posts = await Astro.glob('./posts/*.md')

// after
const posts = Object.values(import.meta.glob('./posts/*.md', { eager: true }))
---
{posts.map((post) => <li><a href={post.url}>{post.frontmatter.title}</a></li>)}

For real content, prefer a content collection with getCollection(). Glob patterns themselves do not need to change.

Other Astro 6 removals of the same kind: <ViewTransitions /> → <ClientRouter /> from astro:transitions, and emitESMImage() → emitImageMetadata(). CommonJS config files are no longer supported. Node 22.12+ is required (18 and 20 dropped).

Symptom

After upgrading to Astro 6, pages that use const posts = await Astro.glob('./posts/*.md') fail to build. On Astro 5 it was only a deprecation warning. Models still generate Astro.glob() for listing Markdown files.

Cause

Astro.glob() was deprecated in Astro 5.0 (2024-12-03) and removed in Astro 6.0 (2026-03-10, PR #14421). Vite's import.meta.glob() replaces it. Note that import.meta.glob() returns an object (keyed by path), not a Promise of an array.

Verify

grep -rn "Astro.glob" src returns nothing, and npx astro build succeeds.
