## Symptom
After sign-in, users land on the wrong page, or TypeScript rejects `<SignIn afterSignInUrl="/dashboard" />`, `<SignUp afterSignUpUrl=...>`, `<UserButton afterSignOutUrl=...>` after upgrading to Clerk Core 3.

## Cause
Core 3 (`@clerk/nextjs` 7.0.0, 2026-03-03) removed the legacy redirect props `afterSignInUrl`, `afterSignUpUrl` and `redirectUrl` from components. It also removed the sign-out redirect override props on `UserButton`.

## Fix

Use `forceRedirectUrl` / `signUpForceRedirectUrl` to ignore the `redirect_url` query param. For sign-out, use `<ClerkProvider afterSignOutUrl="/signed-out">`, `<SignOutButton redirectUrl="/goodbye">` or `clerk.signOut({ redirectUrl })`.

## Verify
Sign in from `/sign-in?redirect_url=/settings`. A fallback URL respects the query param, while a force URL always wins.
