## Error

```text
/* eslint-env */ comments are no longer supported
```

## Symptom
After upgrading to ESLint 10, files that start with an environment comment fail linting:

```
error: /* eslint-env */ comments are no longer supported at file.js:1:1:
> 1 | /* eslint-env node -- Used in Node.js */
    | ^
```
Agents (and older tutorials) often add `/* eslint-env browser, node */` or `/* eslint-env jest */` to silence `no-undef` for globals.

## Cause
`eslint-env` comments belonged to the eslintrc system. Flat config (default since v9) silently ignored them; ESLint v10.0.0 (2026-02-06) now reports them as errors.

## Fix
Delete the comments and declare globals in `eslint.config.js` using the `globals` package, scoped with `files` where needed:
```js
// eslint.config.js
import { defineConfig } from 'eslint/config'
import globals from 'globals'
export default defineConfig([
  { files: ['src/**/*.js'], languageOptions: { globals: globals.browser } },
  { files: ['scripts/**/*.js'], languageOptions: { globals: globals.node } },
  { files: ['**/*.test.js'], languageOptions: { globals: globals.jest } },
])
```
For a single file, a `/* global myVar */` comment is still supported. The codemod `npx codemod @eslint/v9-to-v10` handles other v10 config cleanups.

## Verify
`grep -rn 'eslint-env' src` returns nothing and `npx eslint .` reports no `no-undef` for the platform globals.
