# Safari prints blank pages: beforeprint re-fires on every print-dialog change; named @page ignored; printer margins used

## Symptom
A print page (delivery note with an attached drawing page) printed correctly in Chrome, but in Safari on macOS: changing printer or page range in the print dialog produced blank pages; a page meant to fit A4 overflowed into a near-blank extra page showing only a frame edge.

## Cause
1. Safari fires `beforeprint` again on every change in the print dialog. The page's `beforeprint` handler updated React state (marking the document as saved), which re-rendered the DOM mid-print → blank output.
2. Safari ignores named pages (`@page landscape { ... }` with `page: landscape`) and uses the printer's margins, so element heights that assumed zero margins (e.g. 265–275 mm on A4) overflowed.

## Fix
- Do no DOM/state changes in `beforeprint`; send a fire-and-forget request instead (`navigator.sendBeacon`/`fetch(..., {keepalive:true})`).
- Size print blocks for printer margins (e.g. 248 mm portrait / 168 mm landscape content height on A4) and make images fill the real box with container units:
```css
@media print {
  .sheet { height: 248mm; container-type: size; padding: 0; }
  .sheet img { width: 100cqw; height: 100cqh; object-fit: contain; }
}
```
- Don't swap print CSS after an async request and then call `window.print()`; open a dedicated print route in a new tab.

## Verify
A WKWebView harness (Swift: load URL, `printOperation(with:)`, run to PDF with chosen margins/page range, optional CSS injection) reproduced the issue: old CSS = 3 pages at 18/36/54 pt margins, new CSS = 2 pages at 18–72 pt. Real Safari printing was fixed afterwards.
