## Error

```text
Cannot use `export let` in runes mode — use `$props()` instead
```

## Symptom
Svelte 5 compiler error `legacy_export_invalid`:
```
Cannot use `export let` in runes mode — use `$props()` instead
```
This happens when a component uses a rune such as `$state`, `$derived` or `$props` (which switches it to runes mode) and also declares props the Svelte 3/4 way with `export let`. `$$props` / `$$restProps` raise similar errors (`Cannot use `$$props` in runes mode`).

## Cause
Svelte 5 (2024-10-22) declares all props through one `$props()` destructure. Svelte 4 syntax only compiles in components that use no runes at all (legacy mode), and a single file cannot mix the two styles.

## Fix
```svelte
<!-- before (Svelte 4) -->
<script>
  export let required;
  export let optional = 'unset';
  let klass = '';
  export { klass as class };
</script>
<button class={klass} {...$$restProps}>click</button>
<!-- after (Svelte 5) -->
<script>
  let { required, optional = 'unset', class: klass, ...rest } = $props();
</script>
<button class={klass} {...rest}>click</button>
```
For TypeScript: `let { required, optional = 'unset' }: { required: string; optional?: string } = $props();`. Use `$bindable()` as the default value for props the parent binds with `bind:`.

To migrate a whole project automatically, run `npx sv migrate svelte-5`.

## Verify
`npx svelte-check` reports no `legacy_export_invalid` errors, and the parent still passes props.
