## Error

```text
ssh: handshake failed: ssh: host key mismatch
```

## Symptom
A Go client pinned the server's ed25519 host key (from `/etc/ssh/ssh_host_ed25519_key.pub`) with `ssh.FixedHostKey(pk)`. Every connection failed:

```
ssh: handshake failed: ssh: host key mismatch
```
`ssh` from the command line to the same host worked, and the pinned key was correct.

## Cause
The server offers several host keys (RSA, ECDSA, ed25519). Unless told otherwise, x/crypto/ssh negotiates its default preference and the server presented its **RSA** key. `FixedHostKey` compares that RSA key with the pinned ed25519 key and rejects it. The key is right; the negotiated algorithm is wrong.

## Fix
Restrict host-key negotiation to the type of the pinned key:

```go
pk, _, _, _, err := ssh.ParseAuthorizedKey([]byte(pinnedLine))
cfg := &ssh.ClientConfig{
    User:              user,
    Auth:              []ssh.AuthMethod{ssh.PublicKeys(signer)},
    HostKeyCallback:   ssh.FixedHostKey(pk),
    HostKeyAlgorithms: []string{pk.Type()}, // e.g. "ssh-ed25519"
    Timeout:           15 * time.Second,
}
```

## Verify
After the change the client logged `Connected ... as <user>`. Proxy probes through the SSH tunnel returned in about 0.7–0.8 s, and a server-side kill of the session reconnected in 2 s.

## Notes
For an RSA pin use the matching SHA-2 algorithms (`rsa-sha2-256`/`rsa-sha2-512`) rather than `pk.Type()` (`ssh-rsa`), because many servers disable SHA-1 `ssh-rsa`.
