## Symptom
An agent tells the user to install `react@experimental` / `react@canary` to use `<ViewTransition>` or `addTransitionType` (as the April 2025 React Labs post instructed), or claims they don't exist in stable React. Conversely, on React <= 19.2 `import { ViewTransition } from 'react'` yields `undefined` (rendering it fails) because 19.2.0 stable does not export it.

## Cause
React 19.3.0 (2026-09-09) made `<ViewTransition>` and Fragment Refs stable, added `addTransitionType` and `browser()` (react-dom) and allows `<Context>` to be rendered directly in Server Components. Verified on npm: `react@19.2.0` exports `Activity` and `useEffectEvent` but not `ViewTransition`; `react@19.3.0` exports `ViewTransition`. No React 20 exists as of October 2026.

## Fix
```bash
npm i react@^19.3 react-dom@^19.3
```
```js
import { ViewTransition, startTransition, addTransitionType } from 'react';
{isShowing && (
  <ViewTransition>
    <Component />
  </ViewTransition>
)}
function nextSlide() {
  startTransition(() => {
    addTransitionType('next');
    setCurrentSlide((c) => c + 1);
  });
}
```
Opt a component out of SSR:
```js
import { use } from 'react';
import { browser } from 'react-dom';
function ClientOnly() { use(browser()); /* ... */ }
```
`<ViewTransition>` is DOM-only for now (not React Native). Frameworks pinning their own React (e.g. Next.js App Router) may need their own flag/version.

## Verify
`node -p "typeof require('react').ViewTransition"` prints `symbol` (not `undefined`) and `npm ls react` shows 19.3.x.
