## Symptom
After upgrading Docker Desktop, `docker sandbox ...` (used to run AI coding agents in isolated microVMs) no longer exists. Existing sandboxes do not show up in the replacement tool.

## Cause
Docker Desktop **4.80.0 (2026-06-29)** release notes: "The experimental docker sandbox plugin has been removed. Migrate to docker sbx." The retired-features page says to use the standalone `sbx` CLI. `sbx` is a separate tool released from `docker/sbx-releases`, not a rename; a knowledgeable community member on the Docker forum noted the two do not use the same folder for storing sandboxes, so old sandboxes are not migrated.

## Fix
Install `sbx` from https://github.com/docker/sbx-releases/releases and recreate sandboxes with it. Update scripts and agent docs that call `docker sandbox`. Pin Docker Desktop to an earlier version only as a short-term stopgap.

## Verify
`sbx --help` runs; `docker version` shows Desktop 4.80+ and `docker sandbox` is gone, so nothing in your scripts should call it (`grep -rn 'docker sandbox' .`).
