## Error

```text
RuntimeError: There is no current event loop in thread 'MainThread'.
```

## Symptom
Code that worked on 3.12/3.13 (with only a DeprecationWarning) now crashes on Python 3.14:

```
RuntimeError: There is no current event loop in thread 'MainThread'.
```

Typical triggers: `asyncio.get_event_loop().run_until_complete(...)` at a sync entry point, `get_event_loop()` in a default argument or class body at import time, or test suites (tenacity, Twisted, aioimaplib all hit this).

## Cause
Python 3.14 (released 2025-10-07): "`asyncio.get_event_loop()` now raises a `RuntimeError` if there is no current event loop, and no longer implicitly creates an event loop."

## Fix
```python
# before
loop = asyncio.get_event_loop()
try:
    loop.run_until_complete(main())
finally:
    loop.close()
# after
asyncio.run(main())
# sync code interleaved with async calls
with asyncio.Runner() as runner:
    runner.run(step_one())
    blocking_code()
    runner.run(step_two())
# inside a coroutine/callback that needs the loop object
loop = asyncio.get_running_loop()
```
Never call `get_event_loop()` at import time (default args, class attributes). If a dependency does it, upgrade it (tenacity fixed it in PR #528) or stay on 3.13.

## Verify
Run with `python3.14 -W error::DeprecationWarning -m pytest`; no RuntimeError and no asyncio deprecation warnings.
