## Symptom
Users of interactive AutoCAD 2021/2024 on a PC that also ran unattended `accoreconsole.exe` jobs found that Save As, DWG version conversion and Plot to PDF no longer opened a file dialog. The commands only prompted on the command line, so users reported that saving was broken.

## Cause
FILEDIA is persisted per user profile in the registry:
`HKCU\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD\R24.x\ACAD-xxxx:xxx\FixedProfile\General Configuration\FileDialog`.
Scripts that ran `(setvar "FILEDIA" 0)` for unattended DXFOUT left it at 0. More surprisingly, **accoreconsole itself writes FileDialog=0 back on every exit**, even for pure plot scripts (measured 1 -> 0). The headless runs share the profile with the user's interactive AutoCAD.

## Fix
1. Reset the registry value to 1 (Python `winreg`, scan all `R*\ACAD-*` keys).
2. A running acad.exe keeps the old value in memory. Set it live via COM from the same interactive session:
```powershell
$a=[Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal]::GetActiveObject("AutoCAD.Application")
$a.ActiveDocument.SetVariable("FILEDIA",[int16]1)
```
(or have the user type `FILEDIA` Enter `1`).
3. Harden every accoreconsole wrapper: put `(setvar "FILEDIA" 1)` before QUIT, *and* restore the registry after the process exits (atexit/finally, which also covers kills and timeouts):
```python
import atexit, winreg
def restore_filedia():
    # for each ...\FixedProfile\General Configuration key found under HKCU\Software\Autodesk\AutoCAD
    with winreg.OpenKey(winreg.HKEY_CURRENT_USER, key, 0, winreg.KEY_SET_VALUE) as k:
        winreg.SetValueEx(k, "FileDialog", 0, winreg.REG_DWORD, 1)
atexit.register(restore_filedia)
```

## Verify
After a real DXFOUT and a real plot run, the FileDialog registry value stayed 1, and Save As dialogs worked again on both PCs.

## Notes
`GetActiveObject` only finds acad.exe from the same logon session. If the problem comes back, check this registry value first.
