## Symptom
After upgrading to zod@4, `z.record(z.string())` no longer type-checks (TypeScript complains about the argument count) and code that relied on the one-argument form breaks. Wrong assumption: `z.record(valueSchema)` defaults the key to `z.string()` (Zod 3 behavior).

## Cause
Zod 4 (zod@4.0.0 at the package root, 2025-07-08) dropped the single-argument `z.record()` overload. Both the key schema and the value schema are required.

## Fix

```
When the key schema is an enum, Zod 4 records are exhaustive (every enum key must be present); use `z.partialRecord(z.enum([...]), value)` if keys are optional.
