    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter upgrading to Jest 30, a script or tool (npm script, Nx, vscode-jest, CI command) that filters tests by path exits with code 1:\n\n```\nOption \"testPathPattern\" was replaced by \"--testPathPatterns\". \"--testPathPatterns\" is only available as a command-line option.\n```\n\nWrong assumption: `jest --testPathPattern=foo` (singular) still works.\n\n## Cause\nJest 30.0.0 (blog post 2025-06-04) renamed `--testPathPattern` to `--testPathPatterns` (plural). It now takes a list of patterns rather than one regex. The setting is CLI-only: putting `testPathPatterns` in `jest.config.*` is not supported. Use `testMatch` / `testRegex` / `testPathIgnorePatterns` in config instead.\n\n## Fix\n```bash\n# before (Jest 29)\njest --testPathPattern=\"unit/.*\"\n\n# after (Jest 30)\njest --testPathPatterns \"unit/.*\" \"integration/.*\"\n```\nIf the same command must run on both Jest 29 and 30, pass the path as a positional argument instead: `jest src/app/__tests__/lib/cn`.\n\nTools that pass the old flag (older `@nx/jest`, older vscode-jest extension) must be updated.
