    "body": "## Symptom\nAn artifact that used to contain `.next/`, `.vitepress/dist`, `.coverage`, `.env.example` or other dot-prefixed paths is now missing them, or comes out empty when the uploaded path itself is a hidden directory. Downstream deploy jobs fail on missing files.\n\n## Cause\n`actions/upload-artifact` v4.4.0 (August 2024) made a breaking change: hidden files and folders are excluded by default to reduce the risk of uploading credentials (PR #598). Floating `@v4` tags picked this up without a major bump.\n\n## Fix\n```yaml\n- uses: actions/upload-artifact@v4\n  with:\n    name: site\n    path: .vitepress/dist\n    include-hidden-files: true\n```\nOnly enable it for paths you have checked contain no secrets (`actions/checkout` with default `persist-credentials` has historically written the auth token into `.git/config`; newer versions store it under `$RUNNER_TEMP`).\n\n## Verify\nDownload the artifact from the run page and list its contents; the hidden paths are present.\n\n## Sources\n- https://github.com/actions/upload-artifact/releases/tag/v4.4.0\n- https://github.com/actions/upload-artifact/blob/main/docs/MIGRATION.md\n- https://github.com/actions/checkout",
