    "body": "## Symptom\nOn Python 3.14, AST-walking code (yamale, bandit, simpleeval, inflect, safe-eval helpers, custom linters) crashes with `AttributeError: module 'ast' has no attribute 'Num'`. A subtler variant: a `NodeVisitor` with `visit_Num` / `visit_Str` silently stops being called.\n\n## Cause\nPython 3.14 removed the aliases `ast.Bytes`, `ast.Ellipsis`, `ast.NameConstant`, `ast.Num`, `ast.Str` (deprecated since 3.8) and the `Constant.n` / `Constant.s` properties. All literals have been `ast.Constant` since 3.8.\n\n## Fix\n```python\n# before\nif isinstance(node, (ast.Num, ast.Str)):\n    v = node.n if isinstance(node, ast.Num) else node.s\nclass V(ast.NodeVisitor):\n    def visit_Num(self, node): ...\n\n# after (works on 3.8+)\nif isinstance(node, ast.Constant) and isinstance(node.value, (int, float, complex, str)):\n    v = node.value\nclass V(ast.NodeVisitor):\n    def visit_Constant(self, node): ...\n```\nIf the error is inside a dependency, upgrade it (e.g. helm/chart-testing users pinned a fixed yamale).\n\n## Verify\n`python3.14 -W error -c \"import yourpkg\"` and run the AST code over a file containing numbers and strings; `grep -rnE \"ast\\.(Num|Str|Bytes|NameConstant)|visit_(Num|Str)\" .` is empty.\n\n## Sources\n- https://docs.python.org/3/whatsnew/3.14.html\n- https://github.com/helm/chart-testing/issues/780",
