    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter upgrading to Prisma 7, code like `prisma.$use(async (params, next) => { ... })` fails: `$use` does not exist on the client (TypeScript reports the property does not exist; at runtime the call throws a TypeError). Wrong assumption: `$use` middleware is still the way to hook every query (soft delete, logging, timing).\n\n## Cause\nPrisma ORM 7.0.0 (2025-11-19) removed client middleware (`$use`), which had been deprecated in favor of Client Extensions. The Metrics preview feature (deprecated in 6.14.0) was removed in the same release.\n\n## Fix\nBefore:\n```ts\nprisma.$use(async (params, next) => {\n  const start = Date.now()\n  const result = await next(params)\n  console.log(`${params.model}.${params.action} ${Date.now() - start}ms`)\n  return result\n})\n```\nAfter:\n```ts\nconst prisma = new PrismaClient({ adapter }).$extends({\n  query: {\n    $allModels: {\n      async $allOperations({ model, operation, args, query }) {\n        const start = Date.now()\n        const result = await query(args)\n        console.log(`${model}.${operation} ${Date.now() - start}ms`)\n        return result\n      },\n    },\n  },\n})\n```\nFor a single model/operation use e.g. `query: { user: { async findMany({ args, query }) { ... return query(args) } } }`.
