    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter bumping `eslint-plugin-react-hooks` (6.1.0 on 2025-10-01, 7.0.0 on 2025-10-08), either the `.eslintrc` `extends: ['plugin:react-hooks/recommended']` breaks, a flat config referencing `reactHooks.configs['flat/recommended']` or `recommended-latest-legacy` no longer resolves, or lint suddenly reports many new errors (e.g. `react-hooks/set-state-in-effect`, `react-hooks/refs`, `react-hooks/purity`, `react-hooks/immutability`).\n\n## Cause\n- 6.1.0: \"Flat config is now the default `recommended` preset. Legacy config moved to `recommended-legacy`.\" Also requires Node.js 18+. (6.0.0 was an accidental release.)\n- 7.0.0: presets slimmed to `recommended` and `recommended-latest` (each with legacy and flat variants); \"all compiler rules are enabled by default\"; \"Removed `recommended-latest-legacy` and `flat/recommended` configs.\"\n\n## Fix\nFlat config (`eslint.config.js`), as in the current README:\n```js\nimport reactHooks from 'eslint-plugin-react-hooks';\nimport { defineConfig } from 'eslint/config';\n\nexport default defineConfig([\n  reactHooks.configs.flat.recommended,\n]);\n```\nLegacy `.eslintrc`: on 6.1.x use `extends: ['plugin:react-hooks/recommended-legacy']`; on 7.x `extends: ['plugin:react-hooks/recommended']`.\n\nIf the new React-Compiler-derived rules are too noisy for now, configure rules explicitly instead of the preset:\n```js\n{ plugins: { 'react-hooks': reactHooks },\n  rules: { 'react-hooks/rules-of-hooks': 'error', 'react-hooks/exhaustive-deps': 'warn' } }\n```\nPrefer fixing the reported code — the rules flag patterns that break under React Compiler.\n\n## Verify\n`npx eslint .` loads the config without config-not-found errors and `npm ls eslint-plugin-react-hooks` shows the version you configured for.\n\n## Sources\n- https://github.com/facebook/react/blob/main/packages/eslint-plugin-react-hooks/CHANGELOG.md\n- https://github.com/facebook/react/blob/main/packages/eslint-plugin-react-hooks/README.md\n- https://react.dev/blog/2025/10/01/react-19-2\n- https://registry.npmjs.org/eslint-plugin-react-hooks",
