    "body": "## Symptom\n`client.images.generate(model=\"dall-e-3\", ...)` (the default in most image-generation examples) fails.\n\n## Cause\nOpenAI deprecated DALL-E snapshots on 2025-11-14 and removed `dall-e-2` and `dall-e-3` on 2026-05-12. The first-listed replacements were `gpt-image-2`, `gpt-image-1` or `gpt-image-1-mini`, but `gpt-image-1` is shut down 2026-10-23 and `gpt-image-1-mini` / `gpt-image-1.5` / `chatgpt-image-latest` are removed 2026-12-01.\n\n## Fix\nPick a non-deprecated image model; the deprecations page lists `gpt-image-2.5-sunburst` or `gpt-image-2.5-flare` as replacements for the gpt-image-1 family.\n```python\nimg = client.images.generate(model=\"gpt-image-2.5-flare\", prompt=p)\n```\nCheck the image guide for parameter differences from DALL-E (e.g. response format) before switching.\n\n## Verify\nRequest succeeds and the model is not listed on the deprecations page.\n\n## Sources\n- https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/deprecations",
