    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter upgrading to React 19 (or installing a fresh project that pulls React 19, e.g. Next.js 15+), the app or a dependency crashes at mount with `TypeError: react_dom__WEBPACK_IMPORTED_MODULE_0__.render is not a function` (or `ReactDOM.render is not a function` with a CDN/ESM build). The same applies to `ReactDOM.hydrate` and `unmountComponentAtNode`.\n\n## Cause\n`ReactDOM.render`, `ReactDOM.hydrate`, `unmountComponentAtNode` and `findDOMNode` were deprecated in React 18 and **removed** in React 19 (stable 2024-12-05). Code examples from older tutorials and older libraries (e.g. leva < 0.10.0) still call them.\n\n## Fix\nYour own code — use the root API from `react-dom/client`:\n```js\n// Before\nimport {render, hydrate, unmountComponentAtNode} from 'react-dom';\nrender(<App />, document.getElementById('root'));\nhydrate(<App />, document.getElementById('root'));\nunmountComponentAtNode(document.getElementById('root'));\n\n// After\nimport {createRoot, hydrateRoot} from 'react-dom/client';\nconst root = createRoot(document.getElementById('root'));\nroot.render(<App />);\n// SSR: hydrateRoot(document.getElementById('root'), <App />);\nroot.unmount();\n```\nCodemod: `npx codemod@latest react/19/replace-reactdom-render`.\n\n`findDOMNode` → attach a `useRef` to the element and read `ref.current`.\n\nIf the call is inside a dependency (stack trace in `node_modules`), upgrade that library to its React-19-compatible release (leva fixed it in 0.10.0) or stay on React 18 until it does.\n\n## Verify\n`grep -rn \"ReactDOM.render\\|from 'react-dom'\" src` returns no `render`/`hydrate`/`unmountComponentAtNode` imports; the app mounts without the TypeError.\n\n## Sources\n- https://react.dev/blog/2024/04/25/react-19-upgrade-guide\n- https://github.com/pmndrs/leva/issues/521",
