    "body": "## Symptom\nAn `astro.config.mjs` with `output: 'hybrid'` is rejected by config validation on Astro 5+. Agents add `output: 'hybrid'`, or switch the whole site to `output: 'server'`, just to server-render one route.\n\n## Cause\nAstro 5.0 (2024-12-03, PR #11824) merged `hybrid` into `static`. The only values are now `'static'` (default: prerender everything unless a route opts out) and `'server'` (render on demand by default). Under `'static'`, any route can opt out with `export const prerender = false`. Astro 5 also removed dynamic `prerender` values: only the literals `true` and `false` work.\n\n## Fix\n```js\n// astro.config.mjs\nimport { defineConfig } from 'astro/config'\nimport node from '@astrojs/node'\n\nexport default defineConfig({\n  // output: 'hybrid',   // remove: 'static' is the default and behaves like hybrid\n  adapter: node({ mode: 'standalone' }),\n})\n```\n```astro\n---\n// src/pages/dashboard.astro (in an endpoint .ts file, the same export goes at the top level)\nexport const prerender = false\n---\n```\nAn adapter is still required as soon as any route is rendered on demand.
