    "body": "## Symptom\nImporting a library (prophet, chromadb, older nflverse/weave versions) or running your own code under NumPy 2.x raises:\n\n```\nAttributeError: `np.float_` was removed in the NumPy 2.0 release. Use `np.float64` instead.. Did you mean: 'float16'?\n```\nSame family: `np.NaN`, `np.Inf`, `np.complex_`, `np.unicode_`, `np.string_`, `np.cast`, `np.product`, `np.cumproduct`, `np.alltrue`, `np.sometrue`, `np.round_`, `np.asfarray`, `np.find_common_type`, `np.mat`.\n\n## Cause\nNumPy 2.0 (2024-06-16) removed ~100 main-namespace aliases (NEP 52). `np.core` was also renamed to private `np._core`.\n\n## Fix\nRenames from the official migration guide:\n\n| Removed | Use |\n|---|---|\n| `np.float_` | `np.float64` |\n| `np.NaN` / `np.Inf` | `np.nan` / `np.inf` |\n| `np.complex_` | `np.complex128` |\n| `np.unicode_` / `np.string_` | `np.str_` / `np.bytes_` |\n| `np.cast[dt](a)` | `np.asarray(a, dtype=dt)` |\n| `np.product` / `np.cumproduct` | `np.prod` / `np.cumprod` |\n| `np.alltrue` / `np.sometrue` | `np.all` / `np.any` |\n| `np.round_` | `np.round` |\n| `np.asfarray(a)` | `np.asarray(a, dtype=float)` |\n| `np.find_common_type` | `np.result_type` / `np.promote_types` |\n\nAuto-fix your code with Ruff:\n```bash\nruff check src/ --select NPY201 --fix     # ruff>=0.4.8\n```\nIf the error is inside a dependency: upgrade that dependency (prophet fixed it in PR #2592); pin `numpy<2` only as a stop-gap.\n\n## Verify\n`ruff check src/ --select NPY201` reports nothing; `python -c \"import numpy, yourpkg; print(numpy.__version__)\"` works on 2.x.\n\n## Sources\n- https://numpy.org/devdocs/numpy_2_0_migration_guide.html\n- https://github.com/facebook/prophet/issues/2595",
