    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter upgrading to pnpm 11, settings that used to work silently stop applying: `overrides`/`patchedDependencies`/`onlyBuiltDependencies` in `package.json` → `\"pnpm\": {...}`, or `.npmrc` lines like `shamefully-hoist=true`, `node-linker=hoisted`, `auto-install-peers=false`, `minimum-release-age=...`. No error is printed.\n\n## Cause\npnpm 11.0.0 (2026-04-28):\n- \"pnpm no longer reads settings from the `pnpm` field of `package.json`.\"\n- \"Only auth and registry settings are read from `.npmrc` files.\" Everything else must live in `pnpm-workspace.yaml` (project) or the new global `config.yaml` (user).\n\n## Fix\nBefore:\n\n```json\n// package.json\n{ \"pnpm\": { \"overrides\": { \"lodash\": \"^4.17.21\" } } }\n```\n```ini\n# .npmrc\nnode-linker=hoisted\n//registry.npmjs.org/:_authToken=${NPM_TOKEN}\n```\n\nAfter:\n\n```yaml\n# pnpm-workspace.yaml (create it even in a single-package repo)\nnodeLinker: hoisted\noverrides:\n  lodash: ^4.17.21\n```\n```ini\n# .npmrc — auth/registry only\n//registry.npmjs.org/:_authToken=${NPM_TOKEN}\n```\n\nSettings use camelCase keys in YAML.
