    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter upgrading to ESLint 10, running `npx eslint .` from a monorepo root lints `packages/*/src` files with each package's own `eslint.config.js` instead of the root config (or vice versa), so results change between v9 and v10. Scripts still passing `--flag v10_config_lookup_from_file` now error out.\n\n## Cause\nIn ESLint v9 the config file was located starting from the current working directory. v9 offered the alternate behaviour behind the `v10_config_lookup_from_file` feature flag. ESLint v10.0.0 (2026-02-06) made it the default: ESLint searches for `eslint.config.*` starting from the directory of each linted file and walking up toward the filesystem root. The feature flag was removed, and passing it is now an error.\n\n## Fix\n- Remove the old flag everywhere: `--flag v10_config_lookup_from_file` on the CLI, the `ESLINT_FLAGS` env var, and the `flags` array passed to `new ESLint()` / `new Linter()` (`npx codemod @eslint/v9-to-v10` does this).\n- If you want one config for the whole repo (old cwd-based behaviour), pass it explicitly:\n```bash\nnpx eslint --config ./eslint.config.js .\n```\n- Otherwise, make sure each package's `eslint.config.js` is complete on its own (it no longer inherits anything from the root unless it imports it):\n```js\n// packages/web/eslint.config.js\nimport { defineConfig } from 'eslint/config'\nimport root from '../../eslint.config.js'\nexport default defineConfig([root, { rules: { 'no-console': 'off' } }])\n```\nAlso required for v10: Node.js 20.19+, 22.13+ or 24+ (Node < 20.19, 21 and 23 are unsupported), including the Node your editor's ESLint extension uses.\n\n## Verify\n`npx eslint --print-config packages/web/src/index.js` shows the config you expect for that file.\n\n## Sources\n- https://eslint.org/docs/latest/use/migrate-to-10.0.0\n- https://eslint.org/blog/2026/02/eslint-v10.0.0-released/",
