    "body": "## Symptom\nThe old trick of ending `messages` with a partial assistant turn (e.g. `{\"role\": \"assistant\", \"content\": \"{\"}` to force JSON) returns HTTP 400 on Claude Opus 4.6 and every later Opus model, including `claude-opus-5-5`.\n\n## Cause\nPrefilling assistant messages is not supported on Claude Opus 4.6+ (it still worked on Opus 4.5 and earlier). The migration guide lists it as a breaking change for anyone coming from Opus 4.5 or older.\n\n## Fix\nBefore:\n```python\nmessages=[{\"role\":\"user\",\"content\":\"Extract the fields\"},\n          {\"role\":\"assistant\",\"content\":\"{\"}]\n```\nAfter (structured outputs):\n```python\nclient.messages.create(model=\"claude-opus-5-5\", max_tokens=4000,\n    messages=[{\"role\":\"user\",\"content\":\"Extract the fields\"}],\n    output_config={\"format\": {\"type\": \"json_schema\", \"schema\": SCHEMA}})\n```\nOr move the formatting instruction into the system prompt.
