    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter bumping the web search tool from `web_search_20250305` to `web_search_20260209` or `web_search_20260318`, responses contain code execution blocks, or a request on a model without programmatic tool calling returns 400 telling you to set `allowed_callers`.\n\n## Cause\nVersions: `web_search_20250305` (basic), `web_search_20260209` (adds dynamic filtering: Claude writes code to filter results before they enter context), `web_search_20260318` (adds `response_inclusion`). On 20260209+ the `allowed_callers` default is `[\"code_execution_20260120\"]` instead of `[\"direct\"]`; the API provisions code execution automatically. Dynamic filtering needs Claude 4.6+ models. Google Cloud and Azure-hosted Foundry only offer the basic version; web search is not on Amazon Bedrock.\n\n## Fix\n```json\n{\"type\": \"web_search_20260318\", \"name\": \"web_search\", \"allowed_callers\": [\"direct\"]}\n```\nOr keep dynamic filtering and add `\"response_inclusion\": \"excluded\"` to drop nested search result blocks from the response. Pass assistant content back unchanged on later turns: a missing or modified `encrypted_content` gives a 400 validation error.
