    "body": "## Symptom\nOn an Intel Mac (or the `macos-15-intel` CI runner), `brew install` / `brew upgrade` now compiles packages from source and takes far longer, or some updated formulae fail to build. Homebrew 7 refuses to run on macOS 10.15.\n\n## Cause\nHomebrew 5.0.0 (2025-11-12) announced, and 7.0.0 (2026-09-13) carried out: macOS Intel x86_64 moved to **Tier 3 in September 2026**: no CI support and no routine new bottles; existing bottles remain. Homebrew still runs on Intel until **September 2027**, then stops. 7.0.0 also drops macOS 10.15 and earlier; the Homebrew `.pkg` installer is Apple Silicon only and needs macOS 15+.
