    "body": "## Symptom\n`claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929` still works today but is marked Deprecated; it was the default Sonnet in a lot of late-2025 code.\n\n## Cause\nOn 2026-09-30 Anthropic notified users that Claude Sonnet 4.5 retires on the Claude API on 2026-11-30. After that, requests fail.\n\n## Fix\n```python\nmodel=\"claude-sonnet-5-5\"   # was claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929\n```\nSonnet 5.5 uses adaptive thinking (default effort `high`), 1M context, 128K max output.
