    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter upgrading to Jest 30, `jest.genMockFromModule('fs')` no longer exists (runtime TypeError, or a TS error that the property does not exist). Code that annotates spies as `jest.SpyInstance` with `import { jest } from '@jest/globals'` fails to type-check.\n\n## Cause\nJest 30.0.0 (2025-06-04) removed the long-deprecated `jest.genMockFromModule()` (PR #15042). It also removed the public types `MockFunctionMetadata`, `MockFunctionMetadataType` and `SpyInstance` from the `@jest/globals` API. Jest 30 also requires TypeScript 5.4+ for its type definitions and Node 18+.\n\n## Fix\n```ts\n// before (Jest 29)\nconst mockFs = jest.genMockFromModule('fs');\nlet spy: jest.SpyInstance;\n\n// after (Jest 30)\nconst mockFs = jest.createMockFromModule('fs');\nlet spy: jest.Spied<typeof obj.method>;\n```\nThe behaviour of `createMockFromModule` is the same as the old function.\n\n## Verify\n`grep -rn genMockFromModule .` returns nothing outside node_modules, and `tsc --noEmit` passes with TypeScript >= 5.4.\n\n## Sources\n- https://jestjs.io/docs/upgrading-to-jest30\n- https://github.com/jestjs/jest/releases/tag/v30.0.0",
