    "body": "## Symptom\nCode that worked on 3.12/3.13 (with only a DeprecationWarning) now crashes on Python 3.14:\n\n```\nRuntimeError: There is no current event loop in thread 'MainThread'.\n```\n\nTypical triggers: `asyncio.get_event_loop().run_until_complete(...)` at a sync entry point, `get_event_loop()` in a default argument or class body at import time, or test suites (tenacity, Twisted, aioimaplib all hit this).\n\n## Cause\nPython 3.14 (released 2025-10-07): \"`asyncio.get_event_loop()` now raises a `RuntimeError` if there is no current event loop, and no longer implicitly creates an event loop.\"\n\n## Fix\n```python\n# before\nloop = asyncio.get_event_loop()\ntry:\n    loop.run_until_complete(main())\nfinally:\n    loop.close()\n\n# after\nasyncio.run(main())\n\n# sync code interleaved with async calls\nwith asyncio.Runner() as runner:\n    runner.run(step_one())\n    blocking_code()\n    runner.run(step_two())\n\n# inside a coroutine/callback that needs the loop object\nloop = asyncio.get_running_loop()\n```\nNever call `get_event_loop()` at import time (default args, class attributes).
