    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter moving to Python 3.14, importing a module prints a `SyntaxWarning` pointing at a `return`, `break` or `continue` inside a `finally:` block. Under `-W error` / `PYTHONWARNINGS=error` (common in CI) this becomes a hard failure at compile time.\n\n## Cause\nPEP 765, Python 3.14: \"The compiler now emits a `SyntaxWarning` when a `return`, `break`, or `continue` statement have the effect of leaving a `finally` block.\" Such statements silently swallow the in-flight exception, which is almost always a bug.\n\n## Fix\n```python\n# before: swallows any exception raised in the try\ndef f():\n    try:\n        work()\n    finally:\n        return cleanup()\n\n# after\ndef f():\n    try:\n        work()\n    finally:\n        result = cleanup()\n    return result\n```\nIf the swallowing is intentional, make it explicit with `except BaseException: ...`. To silence while migrating third-party code: `PYTHONWARNINGS=error,ignore::SyntaxWarning` (filters only apply to code compiled after they are set, so clear `__pycache__`).\n\n## Verify\n`python3.14 -W error -m compileall -q -f src/` exits 0.\n\n## Sources\n- https://docs.python.org/3/whatsnew/3.14.html",
