    "body": "## Symptom\nAfter switching to Prisma 7 / the `prisma-client` generator, the app crashes on start with:\n\n```\nError: Cannot find module '.prisma/client/default'\nRequire stack:\n- .../node_modules/@prisma/client/default.js\n```\nor the generator block is rejected because `output` is missing. Wrong assumption: the client is generated into `node_modules` and you `import { PrismaClient } from '@prisma/client'`.\n\n## Cause\nPrisma ORM 7.0.0 (2025-11-19) made the ESM `prisma-client` generator the default path forward (`prisma-client-js` is deprecated and slated for removal) and made `output` required — the client is no longer generated into `node_modules/.prisma/client`. `@prisma/client/default.js` still requires `.prisma/client/default`, which no longer exists, so importing from `@prisma/client` fails. (Users still on `prisma-client-js` with a custom `output` must also install `@prisma/client-runtime-utils`.)\n\n## Fix\n`schema.prisma` before:\n```prisma\ngenerator client {\n  provider   = \"prisma-client-js\"\n  engineType = \"binary\"\n}\n```\nAfter:\n```prisma\ngenerator client {\n  provider = \"prisma-client\"\n  output   = \"../src/generated/prisma\"\n}\n```\nRun `npx prisma generate`, then change every import (app code, seed scripts, tests, shared monorepo packages):\n```ts\n// before\nimport { PrismaClient, Prisma } from '@prisma/client'\n// after (path relative to the importing file and your output)\nimport { PrismaClient, Prisma } from './generated/prisma/client'\n```\nPrisma 7 is ESM: set `\"type\": \"module\"` in package.json and in tsconfig use `\"module\": \"ESNext\"`, `\"moduleResolution\": \"bundler\"`, `\"target\": \"ES2023\"`. Minimums: Node 20.19.0, TypeScript 5.4.0.
